Operating Principles of a Pulva-Sizer® Hammer Mill

The pulva-sizer® hammer mill has a rotor assembly with hammers running at a high rotational speed. The hammers can be swing or fixed. The top half of the pulva-sizer® hammer mill is fitted with a cover that holds a multi-deflector liner. The bottom half of the pulva-sizer® has a retaining screen. The material is accurately feed into the grinding chamber of the pulverizer using a dual feed screw system attached to the grindind mill cover. The particle size reduction in the mill is the result of rapidly moving hammers impacting the material as it is being feed in the pulva-sizer®. Once the pulva-sizer® is setup with the correct hammers, screen size and RPM the output particle size will be constant until wear occurs.

Pulva Hammer Mills are highly durable utility grinders capable of wet grinding or dry ginding most free-flowing materials. The hammer mills operate on the principle that most materials will shatter or crush upon impact with the hammers.We are happy to test grind any product.
