Smaller particles, or nanoparticles, are a more efficient way for plants to break down and absorb nutrients. The smaller the particle, the faster it breaks down and enters the solution, otherwise known as the dissolution rate. As particles become smaller, they have a greater surface area per unit volume ratio.


Another important factor to consider is that the size of a particle has an exponential effect on the spread width. The larger the particle, the further it is able to be thrown by a spreader. The risk of uneven distribution and segregation increases when there is a large particle size variation within the fertilizer.

  • Model D Pulva Sizer: The Model D is a workhorse manufactured to work with main drives ranging all the way from 40 to 125 HP and can handle high production loads.
  • Model F Pulva Sizer: This pulverizer is a heavy-duty solution for very high production of granular to medium-fine grinding with 125 to 300 HP.
